Tangshan Strong Refractory Co.,Ltd(hereafter referred to as Tanggang) is located in Fengrun District,Tangshan,Hebei,China with a subsidiary located in Dongkuang District,Tangshan.It has a very convenient communication due to its closeness to Beijing-Qinhuangdao Railway,Beijing-Shenyang Expressway and the three famous ports:Xin gang Port,Qinhuangdao Port and Beijing-Tangshan Port. It is only 150 km away from Beijing.

Tangshan Guye Refractory Plant,the previous Tanggang,built in 1943,manufactured the first piece of high alumina brick for China's metallurgy industries. After the extension during China's Seventh Five-Year Plan,equipped with advanced facilities both from overseas(for example,its impregnating system and air grind impact systemwere imported from Germany) and China,also through its constant process improvements afterwards,Tanggang has now become a leading refractory maker in China.Its DL-80 high alumina brick for EAF roofs won th silver medal for China's refractory products in early 1980's,Its SGII(AL2O3-C)and SGIII(AL2O3-ZRO2-C)fired slide gate plates became the recommended products of Refractories refractory enterprise in China.

Its main products are as follows: 1.Slide gate refractory products for steel casting; 2.High alumina bricks for HP and UHP EAF roofs; 3.Low creep high alumina bricks for hot blast furnace; 4.Various bricks for the lining of torpedo; 5.Super-duty light weight insulating bricks; 6.Unshaped refractories; 7.Zirconia series products.

Tanggang now has a staff of over 1300 andamong them 145 are engineers and technicians. Its main business is the production and marketing of various refractories.
